Installing and using AdvertSolutions Flash Banners IN ZEN CART

Installation:
PLEASE NOTE:
1) YOU must be a registered user of AdvertSolutions to
see your banners
2) YOU must edit a file in this installation to enable
your banners
3) YOU may need to move two files into your own
template
1. The flashbanners are provided by four files:
A)
YOUR_STORE/includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_flashbanner.php
B)
YOUR_STORE/includes/templates/template_default/jscript/jscript_flashbanner.php
C)
YOUR_STORE/includes/modules/sideboxes/flashbanner_sidebox.php
D)
YOUR_STORE/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/flashbanner_defines.php
2. Firstly, unzip the files included in this component to the ROOT directory
of your store.
3. IF you use a different template to the default (template_default), then
you will need to move two files (A) and (B) from the template_default directory
into YOUR_TEMPLATE:
Move (A) to
YOUR_STORE/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_flashbanner.php
Move
(B) to
YOUR_STORE/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/jscript/jscript_flashbanner.php
4. Edit the file
“YOUR_STORE/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/flashbanner_defines.php”
to match your desired flash banner style. You can change the
following:
HEADING_FLASHBANNER - the name shown at the top of the side
box
ADVERTSOLUTIONS_ID - YOU MUST edit this to be your
AdvertSolutions.com identification number. Don't know what it is or don't have
one? Register at AdvertSolutions.com. Still have problems then email

ADVERTSOLUTIONS_TOWER
– do you want a full height banner or just a half height
one.
ADVERTSOLUTIONS_ARROWS – do you want “scroll control” arrows on your
banner or not.
5. To enable the banners on your template
a) Log into your admin
section of your zen cart
b) Go to Tools|Layout Boxes Controller on the
tool bar
c) you should see on the left hand column the words
“sideboxes/flashbanner_sidebox.php”
(if you do not then please
verify that you have correctly done the first steps)
d) click on the
“edit” action for the flashbanner_sidebox.php
e) select left/right
column status “on”
f) choose location “left” OR “right”
g)
click the button “update”
6. You should now see your flash banner on your store. Any problems? Let us

IN USE:
1. The administration frontend for the flash
banners is found under "Extras" "Adverts"
2. Select the category of
products you wish to include in your Flash Banner
Adverts
such as BestSellers, Featured, Special, or your chosen category

register for your account
4. Select the template for the flash banner
and follow instructions at advertsolutions.com
5. Don't forget to view
the statistics for your adverts on
http://www.advertsolutions.com
Uninstallation:
1. Delete all files included with this module
2. De-register
from AdvertSolutions.com
